Available to work on joint security operations
A non-negative or failure will incur an additional fee of £65.00 plus VAT if the sample is submitted into a chain of custody analyses to an accredited laboratory. The results will be emailed to the client, usually within 72 hours, confirming the full details of any breaches of the client’s Drugs and Alcohol policy and which drugs have been detected during the screening process. This additional cost will only apply to samples taken being submitted for laboratory confirmation.
Arian UK Support only use UKAS accredited laboratories.
The client can specify drugs or alcohol testing with the option of screening for both with the consent of the delegate upon the request of the client.
Prior to the delegate being screened, they shall be informed of the process and the screening procedure will be explained. If the screening is post-incident or following a near-miss, the client will be required to inform the delegated person of its reasons for testing prior to the screening and reiterating their Drugs and Alcohol policy.
Arian UK Support offer a saliva test which is a faster method of screening and allows for a number of delegates to be screened on site, making it the preferred choice of larger operations. This test, by way of a swab, will screen delegates for 6 different drugs: Methamphetamine Cocaine Cannabis Amphetamine Opiates Benzodiazepines.
Alcohol screening is carried out by way of a breathalyser. Only Draeger 6000 machines are used by Arian UK Support – these machines are Home Office approved and carry a calibration date and certificate.
Arian UK Support will provide the results of the on-the-spot test to the delegate first. The client is then responsible under their Drugs and Alcohol policy regarding the reading given on the Draeger 6000 machine.
A fully completed test-screening consent form is mandatory and a legal requirement prior to all operations being carried out by Arian UK Support. We cannot carry out testing without this fully completed document. The client will be notified immediately of any refusal of consent and the delegate shall be asked to leave the venue.
